Background

Georgia's practice is an interdisciplinary combination of communication designer, fine artist and design educator. She worked for FHA, Nexus and The Age before establishing her own business, freelancing as an illustrator since 1995. Selected clients include Business Review Weekly, City of Melbourne, David Lancashire Design, Emerystudio, Environment Australia, Longman Australia, MacMillan Publishers, Melbourne Theatre Company, Mushroom Records, National Australia Bank, Penguin Books and Vogue Australia. Georgia was a judge for the Melbourne Art Directors Club Awards and the Walkley Awards.?She received an AGDA Pinnacle Award (illustration category) and design awards from the Australian Writers and Art Directors Association and the National Print Awards. In 2011 Georgia was the recipient of an?APW Collie Print Trust Scholarship.?She has been lecturing at RMIT University since 2003, her research interests include material thinking, relational aesthetics and feminist studies.
